This new feature works alongside price alerts and guarantees already on the platform.

Google also promises insights into the most affordable booking times.

Cheapest Booking Time: Google Flight provides advice on the best time to book flights economically. This complements existing price alerts and a price guarantee option.

Price Tracking: By enabling price tracking, Google Flights notifies users if flight prices significantly drop. Users can track specific dates or turn on "Any dates" tracking for deals in the next few months.

Price Guarantee: Some flight results have a price guarantee badge, assuring the current fare will not drop before departure. If the price decreases after booking, Google Pay refunds the difference.

Google also shared optimal booking times.

Christmas Flights: For mid-December trips, best deals are likely in early October. Lowest prices tend to be 71 days before departure, a change from the previous 22 days. The typical low-price range is now 54-78 days before take-off.

Flights from U.S. to Europe: Lowest average prices are found 72 days or more before departure.
