Chinese electronics manufactured Redmi recently launched a budget tablet- Redmi Pad. It is aimed at the populated segment of tech users of India. This tablet is slightly inferior to Xiaomi Pad 5, which has better features and comes at a higher cost.
Starting off with the design, the Redmi Pad looks similar to Pad 5. It has flat edges and feels premium to hold in hand. It has no headphone jack. It comes with IP52 water and dust resistant rating. It doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner. It has 4 dynamic speakers which provide quality sound.

Redmi tab comes with a 10.6” LCD screen with a resolution of 2000x1200 pixels. It has a peak brightness of 400 nits. The max refresh rate on this tab is 90 Hz, which gives it a pretty fluid experience. It has an 8000 mAh battery, which provides a full day of video playback. It supports 18w fast charging.
Redmi Pad 5 is powered with MediaTek Dimensity G99 chipset. It delivers decent performance with easy multitasking. Redmi also claims that it can handle heavy duty games.There’s no SIM card slot in the tab rather it’s WiFi enabled.
The tab has an 8MP primary camera and much shouldn’t be expected from a camera in a tab in this price range. It can record 1080p videos at 30fps. The front camera has an 8MP sensor as well. Videocall quality shouldn’t be a problem here.

Redmi Pad is a smart, powerful and stylish tab which will certainly appease the lower mid-range seekers. Available in 3 variants, the base variant having configuration of 3GB and 64GB of storage is available at Rs 14,999. The 4GB and 128GB-storage variant is offered at a price of Rs 17,999 while 6GB variant is up for sale at Rs 19,999.
