Google Maps is a popular travel tool for navigating new places, but it can be frustrating to lose connection in areas without internet or service. Fortunately, downloading maps for offline use can help you avoid this issue. 

Before you can download maps from Google Maps, there are a few requirements to keep in mind. To begin with, ensure that you aren't using incognito mode.

Additionally, an internet connection is required to download the maps. As soon as you've met these requirements, you can begin.

Downloading offline Google Maps is possible on both iPhone/Android devices.

So, know how to download Google maps on iPhone;

1.Open the Google Maps app and search for the location you want to download.

2.Tap on the name or address of the location.

3.Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap "More."

4.Select "Download offline map."

5.Tap "Download" to start the download process.

It's important to note that downloaded maps do have an expiration date.

According to Google, you have up to 15 days after downloading the map before it's automatically deleted.

Be sure to update your directions on Google Maps during that time frame.

Know how to download Google maps on Android:

1.Open the Google Maps app and search for the location you want to download.

2.Tap on the name or address of the location.

3.At the bottom of the screen, tap "Download" twice.

4.If you searched for a place like a restaurant, you'll need to also tap "More" and then "Download offline map" followed by "Download."

By following these simple steps, you can download Google Maps for offline use and avoid the frustration of losing service in unfamiliar areas.
