As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to make rapid strides, it is leading to concern as well across the world. Many people are losing their jobs as AI takes over various tasks, leading to a fear of job loss.

According to a report by the New York Post, a young girl named Sharanya Bhattacharya (20) from Kolkata has claimed that she has been affected since the launch of ChatGPT.

Up until late 2022, Sharanya pursued her career as a copywriter and ghostwriter for a creative agency while simultaneously pursuing her studies.

However, the launch of ChatGPT had a notable impact on her workload. She experienced a substantial reduction in writing assignments without receiving any clear explanation from the company, the report mentioned.

Before the AI's arrival, Sharanya used to write SEO-optimised articles regularly and earned a modest income of over Rs 20,000 per month, which supported her and her mother.

But ChatGPT's emergence changed everything. Her workload decreased rapidly, and now she only gets one or two writing assignments per month.

The impact of losing work was devastating for Sharanya and her family. Her income decreased by a massive 90 per cent, and they faced severe financial strain, as per the report.

As Sharanya continued her studies in biological science, she became worried about potential unemployment in the fiercely competitive job market for copywriters. She urged companies to consider the number of people losing their jobs due to AI's influence.

She emphasised that human-made work is unique and valuable, and she hopes that in the future, AI and humans can collaborate harmoniously to achieve better results, the report added.
