International Cricket Council (ICC) has recently confirmed that Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in Pakistan.

However, fans across the globe are eager to know whether the Indian cricket team will travel to Pakistan for the upcoming marquee event or not?

Team India had the last bilateral visit to Pakistan in 2006. Subsequently, political tensions between both the nations hindered subsequent tours. Since the 2013 ODI series in India, encounters between India and Pakistan have been confined to ICC events and the Asia Cup only.

With a recent development, it seems that there is a ray of possibility for the Indian team visiting Pakistan for Champions Trophy. The Indian government has approved the travel of the Davis Cup team to Pakistan after more than 60 years, overcoming security concerns.

The historic moment provides a potential precedent for the Indian cricket team’s participation in the 2025 Champions Trophy.

While the Pakistan cricket team visited India for the 2016 T20 World Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup, the Indian cricket team opted not to travel to Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup, playing its matches in Sri Lanka.
