Will Captain Cool MS Dhoni Play In IPL 2023

Speculations are rife since the last two sessions whether ‘Captain Cool’ MS Dhoni will continue to play in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL).

The wicket-keeper batsman is getting ready to lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the current edition of IPL. However, the million dollar question props up again-will Dhoni play in IPL 2023?

While millions of Dhoni’s fans across the world are clueless about his future in the IPL, a CSK official has revealed facts about his chances in the mega event.

As per the official, the franchise is still unclear about Dhoni’s chances in the team.

“It’s Dhoni’s call. We can’t make a comment on when he will take that call. For us, it’s important that Dhoni plays for many years. But he hasn’t conveyed yet when he will take the call,” said the official.

Though Dhoni’s form in the last edition of the IPL was a major concern, the official said that they don’t mind it as long as the team keeps winning.

When asked who will lead the side in Dhoni’s absence, the official said, “There is no question of deciding the next captain yet. We have great bench strength and we will take a call on captainship when Dhoni quits.”

“We have not yet discussed the probable players for the team captainship,” he added.
