Match halted for snake attack

In the second T20I of the three-match series between India and South Africa back in October 2022, a snake was found at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. As a result, the play was suddenly halted. The ground-staff came rushing on to the field to catch the snake and take it off.

Monkey menace

A curious monkey invaded the pitch during the first Test of the 2015 India-Sri Lanka series at Galle. The game was held up for some time due to the reason.

Stray dog holds up game

The first ODI of the 2010 series between India and New Zealand played at Guwahati witnessed a stray dog holding up play for some time. The match was halted for some time as the security personnel attempted to get the animal off the field.
