The whole world knows that Bhuvneshwar Kumar is one of the best swing bowlers. If there is swing on the pitch, Bhuvneshwar becomes is next to unplayable.

England captain Jos Buttler on Thursday experienced a bitter test of Bhuvneshwar’s special swinging delivery in the first T20I at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

A delivery called ‘Banana Swinger’ bowled by India’s premier pacer left the Opposition batter shocked. So what exactly is Banana Swinger.

Well in simple terms, such a swing occurs when the ball swings substantially from the moment it leaves the bowler’s hand and follows a C-shaped path similar to a banana.

In the very first over, Bhuvneshwar cleaned up dangerous Buttler for a golden duck with the special delivery. The ball kept swinging and the aggressive batter was at the receiving end of the delivery with no clue how to tackle it.

An all-round performance from Hardik Pandya helped the visitors beat England comprehensively by 50 runs in the first T20I of the three-match series. Meanwhile, with the emphatic victory, Rohit Sharma became the first skipper to record 13 successive wins in T20Is.
