Fans are eagerly waiting for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in USA and West Indies in June.

Hosts USA has put up a strong squad for the marquee event. Their 15-man squad includes players born in India, Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa along with some home grown cricketers.

The most recognized member in the USA squad is the former New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson. The 33-year-old Kiwi cricketer has played 13 tests, 49 one-day internationals and 31 T20 internationals for New Zealand between 2013 and 2018 in a career limited by injuries.

He is known as an explosive batsman. He has the reputation of scoring a 36-ball century in a one-day international between New Zealand and the West Indies in 2014. He has also played T20 leagues in Australia, India, the Caribbean and United Arab Emirates.

USA will lock horns with Canada in the tournament opener on June 1. Then they will meet formidable India and Pakistan who are also in Group A.

Before the start of the marquee event, Anderson has warned India and Pakistan.

“We are fully ready for the marquee event. We are no walkovers. We will give a tough challenge to India and Pakistan in the mega event,” said Anderson.
