In a strange happening, Brisbane Heat’s Grace Harris showed stunning display of power and resilience to hit a six with a broken bat during the recent Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) match against the Perth Scorchers at North Sydney Oval.

Harris struck the six in the 14th over while facing Piepa Cleary. Harris swatted the delivery hard and as a result the ball sailed over the boundary rope. The impact of the shot was so great that it caused her bat to snap in half.

Much to the astonishment of her teammates and the crowd, Harris got the maximum despite the damage to her bat. The aggressive batter went on to score 136 off just 59 balls which helped her team score a mammoth total of 229 runs on the board.

The moment will be certainly remembered as a remarkable moment in WBBL history.

The video of the incident has gone viral over various social media platforms within no time. More than 5.1 K fans have liked the video on X (earlier known as Twitter) so far. Several fans have also showered interesting comments in the comment box.

“That’s our Grace,” wrote a fan.
