Team India’s veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan has been in great form. On the basis of his recent performances, the southpaw has been in contention for a spot in the team for the ODI World Cup next year.

The flamboyant Indian opener was in a spot in the third ODI against Zimbabwe due to a funny incident. During the match, a fan requested Dhawan to give his jersey by holding a placard.

When the footage was shown in Television during the live match, Dhawan was in the dressing room. Responding to the video, the aggressive opener lifted his jersey as if he is going to take it off. But he stopped midway and the video was captured on camera. 

Fans loved Dhawan’s gesture and the video of the incident has now gone viral over various social media platforms.

Notably, riding on Shubman Gill’s (130, 97b, 15x4, 1x6) maiden and fluent ODI hundred, India won the third and the final ODI by 13 runs to complete a 3-0 series whitewash over the hosts.
