With just 20 days away from IPL 2024, Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is all set to clash with MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK). However, the absence of Virat in the Test series against England due to personal reasons has left fans worried if he is going to be a part of the IPL team.

Fans are curious to know if Virat Kohli will be available for the IPL after the birth of his second child with wife-actress Anushka Sharma. Meanwhile, Kohli’s BFF and fellow cricketer AB de Villiers who was the first to announce about Anushka Sharma’s pregnancy has once again hinted that India’s run machine may be present for the IPL.

“Nothing confirmed yet. Virat Kohli has hinted that he might want me to come over just to spend a bit of time with him and some of the batter perhaps. I think the call has got to come from Andy Flower, Faf and the team,” the South African batsman said on his YouTube channel.

He further added, “But for now, I am just going to be in Mumbai for the first few weeks of the IPL. I am doing a bit of commentary so do watch our live stream. I will be back at the backend for the knockouts.”

On the other hand, veteran cricketer Sunil Gavaskar had stated that Kohli may not be part of the RCB team.

“Kya woh khelenge… kuch reason ke liye khel nahin rahe hain, shaayad ho sakta hai ke IPL ke liye bhi na khele (Will he play… He is not playing because of some reason, perhaps he may not play in IPL as well),” Gavaskar had stated.
