High-flying India will lock horns with in-form South Africa in a league match of the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday. The occasion will be more special as Team India’s star batsman Virat Kohli is celebrating his 35th birthday today.

Wishes are pouring in from all quarters for Kohli on his special day. Meanwhile, a super fan of the star batsman from Odisha is also on cloud nine as he will turn up at the most beautiful stadiums in India to cheer for his favourite cricketer.

Meet Pintu from Berhampur who is a die-hard fan of Kohli as his favourite cricketer is now eyeing to equal legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49th ODI century.

Pintu is often found in the stadium in every match of India in which Kohli plays. He is expecting another brilliant knock from Kohli against the mighty Proteas at the Eden Gardens.

“It’s a special occasion for me as I will cheer for Virat Sir on his birthday at the Eden Gardens amid 70,000 spectators. He has missed three centuries by a whisker in the ongoing World Cup. Hopefully, he will equal the great Sachin Tendulkar’s ODI record of 49 tons in today’s match,” said Pintu amid loud cheer from cricket fans gathered around him.

“I wish happy birthday to my favourite cricketer. India is currently on a winning momentum. They have won seven matches in a row in the mega event so far. I am confident that the Men in Blue will win four more games including the semi-final and final and emerge champions of the ongoing World Cup. Virat will play a great role in it,” he added.
