Everyone’s favourite and India’s talismanic batter Virat Kohli is one of the most loved and followed sportspersons in the world. The ace batsman also remains the top-earning Indian cricketer.

Earlier, there were reports that Kohli charges a mind-boggling Rs 11.45 crore for every single sponsored post on Instagram. The list was released a day back and highlighted how Virat earned Rs 11.45 crore per sponsored post on Instagram that was topped by football great Cristiano Ronaldo, followed by Lionel Messi.

However, Virat has now rubbished the reports. Taking to his X handle, Kohli called the rumours baseless and quashed them through a short post.

“While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true,” he tweeted.

His tweet has received mixed reactions from social media users.

According to Hopper HQ report, Virat who enjoys around 256 million followers on Instagram charges USD 1.38 million which translates to Rs 11.45 crore per Instagram post and is the only Indian to have made it to the top 20 list globally.

On the other hand, Ronaldo charges a whopping sum of USD 3.23 million which roughly translates to Rs 26.75 crore while Messi earns USD 2.56 million which translates to Rs 21.49 crore.
