In what could be a delightful news to the ardent fans of Team India’s star batsman Virat Kohli, Google has confirmed that the great batter is the most searched cricketer in the last 25 years on the internet.

Google confirmed about the development through a video post on social media account X (earlier known as Twitter). Google has recently made the announcement on the most searched items in its history, ranging from sports to athletes to cricket players.

As per the announcement by google, while Cristiano Ronaldo is the most searched athlete, LeBron James is the most searched MVP in the last 25 years.

In the recently-concluded ICC ODI World Cup, Kohli finished as the mega tournament’s leading run-scorer with 765 runs to his name in 11 matches. It is also the most ever by a batter in a single edition of the tournament.

Kohli has so far featured in 111 Tests, 292 ODIs and 115 T20Is for India. He has gone on to score 8676, 13848 and 4008 runs respectively, including 80 international centuries across the three formats.

In the ODI World Cup 2023, Kohli surpassed legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s mark of 49 centuries in 50-over internationals to become the first batter to reach 50 tons in the ODI format.
