Hints at His Retirement:

Amidst reports of his retirement, Virat Kohli confirmed that he is keen on continuing his passion for the game and contribute to India’s success before finally hanging his boots.

“Well, the tournament has been amazing. We wanted to bounce back after a tough Australia tour. We wanted to win a big tournament, and we have ended up doing that. It is an amazing feeling. After playing for such a long time, we look forward to situations where you are put under pressure, you walk in and you put your hands up. And I think to win titles, the whole team has to put their hands up and if we see this tournament, everyone has put their hands up somewhere or the other,” Kohli remarked.

Speaking about his retirement plans, Kohli stated, “When time comes, as they say, when you leave, you wanna leave the place in a better position and that’s what we have been striving for. When, eventually we are finally done, at whatever stage, we will have a squad that is ready to take on the world for the next 8-10 years.”

“Gill and Shreyas are beautiful, KL has been finishing games, Hardik is a match winner. So, we are in good hands,” he continued.
