India vs Australia: Virat Kohli edged and gone for 4th time
India's fiery batter Virat Kohli’s struggle against Australia bowlers continued as his innings ended early on Day 3 of the Brisbane Test. Dismissed just for three runs, Kohli’s one sided love story that started in 2014 in England still continues in 2024.
A thin edge outside off, and it was a similar result for Virat Kohli. His dismissal has intensified pressure on the Indian batting unit, which has already lost openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill to Mitchell Starc.
It is the 4th time, Kohli has gotten out on the outside edge and has now put his spot totally in doubt. This 4th dismissal while trying to play outside off ball has fans and analysts criticizing his inability to overcome his flaws.
Angry fans flooded social media with furious reactions and remarks on Virat Kohli’s poor form.

“Just like RCB fans are loyal to RCB, Virat Koli is loyal to 5th stump ball. He just can’t stop playing these balls. Kohli needs to bounce back!” shared a fan.
Another fan shared, “The problem with Virat Kohli is that he thinks he is bigger than the game. Hence repeating the same mistakes. Instead God Sachin Tendulkar's 241 innings demonstrated his control and respect for the game. Virat's downfall has started..!!”
“Kohli just not learning to leave the ball on the 6th stump. Shows indiscipline, disregard for feedback, just false bravado, relying on past laurels. Makes him look like a T20 merchant who has retired from T20s,” shared another fan.
A fourth fan shared, “Virat Kohli is such an arrogant player that he refuses to learn from a mistake he has been repeating for a long time! Learn something from that Sachin’s inning where he showed such a top level of temperament and didn’t try to hit any bowl outside off stump and yet managed to scored 248 runs against Australia in Sydney!”
Meanwhile, with three wickets down, the task head for Team India is arduous. As the second session approaches, the onus will lie on the likes of KL Rahul and skipper Rohit Sharma to lead India’s fightback.
