With the biggest test battle between two top teams going to kick-start soon, the Indian cricket team is getting themselves fully prepared after being evolved in intense training sessions ahead of their 1st test match against Australia at Perth on November 22. The Indian players played a practice match to get to know about the conditions and bounce in Australia.
Among all the players, one player was on the radar of everybody, who is none other than Virat Kohli. The star batsman looked fluent and struck 2 boundaries during his presence at the crease before getting out on 15.
Former Michael Clarke who had always showered praise for the Indian star is hoping Kohli to be at his vintage best if India has any chance of making a hat-trick of series win in Australia.
"Virat Kohli has to be the leading run-scorer if India are to win the BGT," said Clarke.
Kohli, who scored his first test century in Australia, enjoys batting there and has an excellent record against the Aussies. He has scored 1352 runs in 13 test matches at an average of 54 with 6 centuries to his name. His last hundred came in Perth where he scored a sublime 123 runs on a green deck in 2018.
Kohli who had a dismal series against New Zealand where he scored 91 runs in 6 innings, will have a point to prove against an opposition he loves to play with.
Only time will tell whether the King Kohli will shine and leave an undeniable mark in possibly his last Australian tour before he hangs his boots in tests
