He is young, fast and can be deadly on a given day! Bangladesh’s Nahid Rana was the surprise package who played an integral role in Bangladesh’s historic whitewash against Pakistan, 2-0, in the recently concluded test series.

His exceptional ability to generate bounce and movement off the pitch makes him a challenging bowler for even seasoned batsmen.

Hailing from Chapainawabgang, Nahid always wanted to deliver his best while performing for his team. After making his test debut against Sri Lanka, he soon announced his arrival and now he has become a fast bowling threat after showcasing his skills against Pakistan.

He was quite impressive during his spell against Pakistan where he picked 4/44 in the second test at Rawalpindi. The 21-year old fast bowler consistently troubled the batters with his raw pace and accuracy.

"Obviously, we are well prepared for the India series. We have started training. The more we are prepared the better we will be in execution during the matches," Rana said.

"India are a good team but the team that plays better cricket will win. We will see when we go there," he added.

The 2-match test series between India and Bangladesh begins on September 17 in M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
