As the cricketing world is currently immersed in IPL 2024, everyone is eagerly waiting for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in June. While just a few weeks to go for the T20 World Cup, the BCCI is currently finalizing the squad for the Indian team.

The BCCI reportedly had a chat with captain Rohit Sharma, coach Rahul Dravid and selection committee chief Ajit Agarkar, following which it made a list of India’s probable 20 players with 15 in squad and 5 stand-bys for the T20 World Cup.

Among the probable players are Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Kuldeep, Chahal, Bishnoi, Bumrah, Siraj, Arshdeep and Avesh.

Apart from Shubman Gill, rookie players like Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube and Riyan Parag are said to be in considerations.

Rajasthan Royal’s (RR) star Riyan Parag is most likely to be part of the team, thanks to his terrific form in the ongoing IPL. Similarly, Rinku Singh has been in terrific form and doing wonders for his team KKR. Unfortunately, there has been no much talk about the inclusion of Punjab King’s Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the dynamic duo of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma may open the batting for team India. According to sources, the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee is under serious consideration for Virat opening with the Hitman.

While Rohit has always been opening for India, Kohli’s resurgence as an opener will be nothing short of remarkable. King Kohli’s recent exploits for RCB have showcased his abilities to be a good opener. Being one of the highest run scorers in IPL this season with a scintillating century and two half-centuries, Kohli has firmly cemented his status as an opening batsman.

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill who opens with Rohit is being considered as backup opener. Moreover, Kohli’s inclusion as opener wouldn’t leave much space for Jaiswal who is currently out of form. On the other hand, Pandya’s below-par batting performance and sporadic bowling spells have left much to be desired.

Probable Players: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Sanju Samson, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Chahal, Bishnoi, Bumrah, Siraj, Arshdeep, Riyan Parag and Avesh

Fans' Speculated XI: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
