On the eve of Pakistan and Zimbabwe encounter, when official handle of Pakistan Cricket posted training pictures, a purportedly Zimbabwean handle Ngugi Chasura replied, “As Zimbabweans we wont forgive you. You once gave us that Fraud Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean Rowan. We will settle the matter tomorrow. Just pray that rain doesn’t save you”

In response when a Pakistani fan asked the Zimbabwe fan to explain, he replied, “They gave us Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean in one of our local events called Agricultural show”.

He then tweeted a picture of the Pakistani look-alike at an event. “This is … Pak Bean who imitates Mr Bean stealing people’s money,” he wrote.

Whether the episodes of cheating were true or apocryphal is not confirmed. However, the post went viral when Zimbabwe got the better of Pakistan in a close encounter.

As per reports, the fake Mr Bean named one Asif Muhammad is a Pakistan comedian who often poses as a doppelgänger for the world famous character Mr Bean played by British actor Rowan Atkinson.

Zimbabwean President’s response

In an interesting turn of event, Zimbabwean president Emmerson Mnangagwa got into the Pak Bean episode with a gem of a tweet.

“What a win for Zimbabwe! Congratulations to the Chevrons,” the first line of his tweet read.

“Next time, send the real Mr Bean…#PakvsZim,” he further wrote.

Pak PM’s response

Responding to Mnangagwa, Pakistan’s Prime Minister retaliated with his tweet.

“We may not have the real Mr Bean, but we have real cricketing spirit .. and we Pakistanis have a funny habit of bouncing back :) Mr President: Congratulations. Your team played really well today,” the Pakistan Prime Minister wrote.
