Following Pakistan’s humiliating defeat to minnow Zimbabwe in the Group 2 clash of the T20 World Cup in Australia, entire Pakistan is on a boil over the poor performance of the national team.

While expressing his disappointment over Pakistan’s poor show so far in the mega event, former Pakistani express fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar said that he expects the Indian team to bow out of the tournament next week in the semifinals stage.

“Pakistan’s performances in the ongoing T20 World Cup are really disappointing. I have said this earlier that Pakistan will return home this week. India, too, will go back home after playing the semifinal as they aren’t also good enough for the big stage,” Akhtar said in a video on his YouTube channel.

From captain Babar Azam to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Akhtar blamed one and all for the poor results of the Men in Green earned Down Under. He even blamed the board for selecting ‘unworthy players'.

Following successive losses to arch-rival India and lower-ranked Zimbabwe, analysts suggest that Pakistan are now all but out of the semifinals contentions.

From Pakistan’s group, India and South Africa remain the two strongest contenders to go through.

Placed in the fifth position in the Group two standings, Pakistan have three more games to go and they don’t have a single victory to their name. On the other hand, India are sitting pretty top having won both of their first two games.
