Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has picked his four semi-finalists for the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia. The legend also picked two dark horses for the marquee event’s 2022 edition who can go far in the tournament.

As per Sachin, India, Pakistan, Australia and England are the favourites for the top four positions of the mega event. Besides, South Africa and New Zealand are the dark horses to win the coveted trophy.

"I would obviously want India to win the title, but my top four would be India, Pakistan, Australia and England. New Zealand and South Africa are the dark horses. These are the conditions South Africans get to encounter at home in September-October. They are used to such conditions,” said Tendulkar during an interview to Telegraph.

The Men in Blue will start their campaign in the mega event by taking on arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23.

As per the legendary batsman, India have a great chance of winning the match against the Men in Green.

“Yes, we have a very good chance against Pakistan. This team is well-balanced and we have the combination to go out and deliver. In fact, I am quite hopeful of our chances and going the full distance in the World Cup,” Tendulkar added.

Sachin admitted that experienced pacer Jasprit Bumrah’s absence will peg the Indian team.

“Not having one of the best fast bowlers will obviously impact the team. Bumrah has always been a great attacking bowler and a standout performer. But Team India players have accepted it and moved on. Bumrah’s replacement Mohammed Shami is also experienced and capable enough,” said the Master Blaster.
