India will start their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia.

However, former World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev feels that the Men in Blue have less chances of making it to the semifinals.

“I am concerned about India making it to the top four. For me, it’s just 30 % chance of India making it to the top four,” said Kapil.

However, Kapil said that India have a decent batting attack with stars like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul.

“Having a batter like Suryakumar in the team in the company of Virat, Rohit and Rahul, India have a strong batting line-up. But our bowling is really a concern. The bowling line-up has recently struggled a lot. Considering the situation, India have a less chance of giving tough fights to the top teams,” said the legendary all-rounder.

Notably, India’s second warm-up tie against New Zealand was washed out due to incessant rain at Brisbane on Wednesday.

As per weather experts, chances are that more matches in this ongoing World Cup will be affected by bad weather, including the mouth-watering India vs Pakistan encounter.
