Suryakumar Yadav’s wife comes out in support of Dhanashree Verma

Even after the separation of cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma, discussions about their divorce continue to make headlines. First, it was Chahal who shared insights about their split during a podcast.

Later, Dhanashree opened up about her side of the story, sparking widespread reactions.

Among those extending support to Dhanashree was Divika Shetty, wife of India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav. Taking to Instagram, Divika praised Dhanashree’s courage for speaking openly about her journey on the podcast Humans of Bombay.

Her story, captioned “So much respect and love for you,” quickly went viral and became a topic of discussion on Reddit.

Several Reddit users also expressed their views on the situation. One comment read, “Good that SKY’s wife is standing up for her; clearly she knows more than we do.”

Another user shared, “Not sure who was wrong, but after the divorce, Yuzi behaved a bit immaturely with those T-shirt antics and the podcast comments. At least Dhanashree handled it gracefully; the relationship deserves respect.”

Dhanashree’s Emotional Confession

During the podcast, Dhanashree reflected on the overwhelming emotions she felt when the court officially finalized their divorce.

“I genuinely feel that the day it happened, it was extremely emotional for me and my family. Even though I was mentally prepared, when I stood there waiting for the verdict, I just broke down. I started crying uncontrollably in front of everyone, it was a feeling I can’t even describe,” she said.

She further recalled the media frenzy outside the court:

“He walked out first, and the whole situation with the T-shirt and media unfolded. I didn’t even know what was happening because I was still inside. I chose to exit quietly from the back gate. I didn’t want cameras flashing in my face. I was just in a simple T-shirt and jeans, sitting in the car with my best friend, both of us trying to process what had just happened. It was such a shaky moment, especially knowing that people would probably blame me for everything.”
