SunRisers Hyderabad CEO Kavya Maran was on cloud nine after her team SunRisers Eastern Cape (SEC) lifted two consecutive SA20 titles. Her team claimed back-to-back SA20 titles with an empathic 89-run victory over Durban’s Super Giants at Newlands last evening.

Delivering a clinical performance in the final, the SunRisers bowling unit was at their best in the match. Kavya who was present at the stadium cheering for her team was super happy and could be seen shouting, jumping and smiling in joy after the title win.

A super happy Kavya said, “This is the second cup back to back in a row. I’m so glad, so happy, the best performance by the team with the bat and the ball. I think they have been dominating this all season and finally getting this trophy at the end of the year, it is unbelievable to be winning it back to back.”

“I’m so happy for the guys, everyone put up a great show and happy to have the win at the end of the day,” she added.
Contributions from both the batters and bowlers saw the SunRisers post a formidable 204/3 in their 20 overs. Tom Abell scored (55 in 34 balls) while Tristan Stubbs scored (56 in 30 balls). Similarly, Jordan Hermann and Aiden Markram also contributed 42 runs each.

Moreover, bowlers Marco Jansen gave 5/30 while Dan Worrall gave 2/15 and Ottniel Baartman 2/17.
