Many experts are calling for a transition in the Indian team. They are calling for a generational shift in the long format urging the senior players to step down by making way for young and talented players.

However, in response, former India wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik said that these kinds of reactions are premature. Moreover, the former aggressive cricketer feels that patience is necessary in this regard.

Karthik urged the fans to give the experienced players some more time before jumping to conclusions about their careers.

“What is the hurry boss? One bad series and already calling for heads. I don’t think so,” said Karthik.

“If the senior players don’t do well in the next 10 Test matches, then we will come back to this question, and it becomes a fair one. For now, I don’t think we need to group anyone anywhere,” he added.
