Shikhar Dhawan, Mithali Raj marriage rumours: Gabbar urges to stop circulating baseless theories

The ‘Gabbar’ of Indian cricket and veteran batter Shikhar Dhawan has been lying low both in international cricket and the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) due to injury. The southpaw who was the captain of Punjab Kings (PBKS) was replaced by Sam Curran due to his injury.

Going by his last games, Shikhar has seen a downward spiral in his career over the last couple of years. Due to his personal problems and divorce, Shikhar has remained out of the Indian team for quite some time now.

Recently, Shikhar once again displayed his funny side and revealed how a rumour was being spread that he was marrying former India women’s team captain Mithali Raj. When asked about one of the most bizarre rumours he had heard about himself, Shikhar said, “I heard that I was getting married to Mithali Raj.”

Speaking to Dhawan Karenge on Jio Cinema, Shikhar said that this was not funny at all and fans should stop circulating such baseless theories.

Coming back to IPL 2024, Dhawan’s team PBKS initially played well with Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma winning matches for the team. However, the Preity Zinta-team eventually failed to deliver on the promise it showed at the start of the season.
