Ahead of the crucial T20 World Cup semifinal against England, Rohit Sharma sustained a powerful blow on his forearm during training on Tuesday. Fortunately, it did not turn out to be a serious injury.
As per reports, Rohit was undergoing his usual practice drills at the Adelaide Oval when a short ball jumped off the length area and hit his right forearm.
Rohit attempted a pull shot but missed the ball. He was visibly in pain after the ball hit his forearm. He then applied an ice pack on the injured arm and rested for a while before resuming the training.
Meanwhile, the skipper is reportedly doing fine and play the semifinal against England on Thursday.
"He didn't feel much discomfort when he batted for the second time. CT scan or x-ray might not be needed. Also we have one day in the middle which is also optional session. It doesn't look serious as of now," a source privy to the development told PTI.

Rohit loves to play pull shots and it has got him plenty of runs but at the same time, he has also lost his wickets on several occasions while attempting the shot.
Even in the ongoing T20 World Cup, Rohit got out playing the pull-shot against South Africa and Zimbabwe. He also had a similar kind of dismissal during the 2021 England series.
While Pakistan and New Zealand will lock horns in first semi-final today in Sydney, India will take on England in the second semi-final on Thursday.
