Men in Blue have been dealt with a huge blow ahead of their all-important T20 World Cup semifinal clash against England in Adelaide on Thursday as captain Rohit Sharma was hit on his right hand during the warm-up session.

With a place in the mega event at stake, both sides are expected to go all guns blazing.

The Men in Blue began their preparations for the semifinal as they took to the nets on Tuesday. The right-hander had to sit out of the warm-up session following the development. He was hit by a rising delivery of sidearm thrower Raghu in the net session. However, the extent of the injury is unknown. Men in Blue will be hopeful about their skipper’s selection as they prepare for their fourth T20 World Cup semifinal.

As per sources, there could be a potential injury scare for Rohit as he halted his batting practice. He tried to continue batting after being hit on his hand, but to no avail. Rohit is struggling to get back his form in the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia.

Notably, India have finished on top of Group 2 following a victory over minnow Zimbabwe in their last Super 12 match.
