Everyone’s favourite and India’s Hitman Rohit Sharma walked off to a standing ovation at the Wankhede Stadium after his brilliant knock of 68 runs in just 38 balls in his last IPL match this season as Mumbai Indians (MI) were knocked out.

The India captain, who was in low form, finally ended his string of low scores and seemed all ready for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. He hit a brilliant 68 off just 38 deliveries during the match against KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Mumbai.

While his innings was futile for Mumbai Indians (MI), Rohit’s brilliant runs gave fans the much-needed thrills in yesterday’s match. Fans are super excited that the Hitman is finally back in form and is expected to display outstanding performance in the upcoming Men’s T20 World Cup.

Rohit was inconsistent and failed to perform well after he was replaced as the skipper of MI by Hardik Pandya. His removal was laced with controversies as fans brutally trolled Pandya and the MI management, leading to the team’s low performance.

On Friday, however, Rohit showed his aggression against LSG bowlers with a quickfire knock, smashing the ball all around the park. However, he was eventually dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi in the 11th over of the run-chase.

As he departed and walked towards the pavilion, he received a rousing ovation from the crowd at Wankhede.
