MS Dhoni
After his retirement from international cricket, legendary cricketer MS Dhoni is only playing in Indian Premier League (IPL). He is currently the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Under his leadership, CSK have emerged champions in the cash-rich league for four times.
Dhoni’s game as a batsman might have waned a bit, but his acumen as a captain is still lauded by many cricket experts and fans across the globe.
Dhoni’s former India and CSK teammate Robin Uthappa has revealed that he was once very much irritated with the veteran wicket-keeper batsman. As per Uthappa, it was pretty irritating for him to play against Dhoni as he pips into the batsman’s mind and prepares strategy accordingly.
“When I played against CSK, I used to be very much annoyed. I was very irritated with Dhoni. He didn’t have a fine leg for Hazlewood, so I knew he will bowl to a particular angle. I tried getting a boundary at deep point and got out. He forces you to play in areas where you are not used to playing. He plays with the batsmen’s minds. He does not just force the batsmen to think differently, he forces the bowlers to think differently as well,” said Uthappa during an expert analysis.
