In a positive sign for Team India, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is indicating a full recovery from his injuries after his fatal car crash last year. The star cricketer has been trending online ever since he was spotted during a net practice session in Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium.

After batting at the net for a while, Pant was later seen having a light moment with Team India who arrived at the venue for their training session ahead of the 3rd T20I match against Afghanistan. Videos of Pant having a chit-chat with Virat Kohli, Rinku Singh and other Indian players are now going viral on social media.

Fans are also praying for his speedy recovery and return to Team India, and expecting the star batsman to play in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

“Get well soon bro, we want India to destroy everyone in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024,” a fan wrote. Another wrote, “Rishab virat Rinku 🔥 destruction level 😍”

Away from the game, Pant has been undergoing recovery at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru after the horrible accident in December 2022, an accident that forced him to have ligament reconstruction surgeries.

Pant is expected to return to action during the IPL 2024 as he has been named as Delhi Capitals captain. He has often been spotted practising at nets and unfurling a few drives and nudges here and there.
