Despite having retired from international cricket, former India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni is still the most popular cricketer across the globe. Even at the age of 42, his stocks have remained intact and he continues to rule many hearts.

As speculation is rife that the current edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is Dhoni’s last season, fans want to see as much of Dhoni as possible. And hence with three runs to win against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), when explosive batter Shivam Dube was dismissed, all eyes were in the dressing-room to see who comes out next.

With yellow brigade in total control, the fans expected that Dhoni would walk out to bat. However, the veteran batter did not come and Ravindra Jadeja entered the ground. However, the star all-rounder did it just to tease fans. Jadeja initially walked out of the dressing-room all padded up. And then, swiftly turned around and walked back in. Then, Dhoni walked out to a rapturous reception at Chepauk on Monday night.

The video clip of the incident has gone viral over various social media platforms. Several fans have flooded the comments box with amusing comments.

“Video of the day,” wrote a fan on social media account X (earlier known as Twitter).

“It’s wonderful to see #Jadeja playing with the crowd. Especially after last year when everyone in the stadium was chanting for #MSDhoni every time Jaddu came out to bat. Not sure he liked it too much.bBut then again All’s well that ends well!” commented another fan.
