In the ongoing Test match against England in Hyderabad, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja became the most successful bowling pair for India with 502 wickets. They surpassed the record of Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh who were the previous best duo among the spinners with 501 wickets in 51 test matches. 

After beginning their test careers for India following the retirement of veteran leg spinner Anil Kumble, they snitched a formidable combination causing trouble for the opposition batters. In India’s ongoing invincible test record where India haven’t lost a home series since 2012, these two Indian spinner’s contribution is immense in ensuring India’s dream home run in test matches. 

The record for most wickets is held by English pace bowlers James Anderson and former pacer Stuart Broad with 1039 wickets in 138 test matches. 

In terms of active list, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon lead the way with 643 wickets in 81 tests. 

These two spinners will play a decisive role in the 5-match Test series which is currently ongoing in Hyderabad.

Ravi Jadeja has taken 276 wickets in his test career whereas Ravi Ashwin has 492 test wickets in his kitty.
