PSL 2025: Pakistan bowler punches teammate in bizarre celebration - watch

In a humorous turn of events during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, Multan Sultans' exhilarating triumph was momentarily overshadowed by a celebration gaffe. 

Fast bowler Ubaid Shah accidentally struck his teammate Usman Khan in the head whilst celebrating a critical wicket against Lahore Qalandars on Tuesday night.

Wicket Celebration Went Awry

As Lahore Qalandars pursued a daunting target of 226 runs, Ubaid Shah's dismissal of Sam Billings was pivotal, halting the latter’s aggressive innings of 43 off 23 balls. Overcome with excitement, Ubaid swung his arm for a jubilant high-five, inadvertently hitting Usman Khan, who was without his helmet at that moment.

Despite the mishap, Usman Khan showed commendable resilience, quickly recovering after a brief medical assessment. To reassure his team and fans, Usman gave a thumbs-up, cementing his commitment to the game. 

Turning Point Secures Victory

The dismissal of Billings was decisive for Multan Sultans, shifting the match dynamics in their favour. Though Sikandar Raza scored a fifty for Lahore Qalandars, the opposition fell short and concluded their innings at 195 for 9. Multan Sultans thus secured a significant victory, a moment capturing the attention over various  social media platforms.
