Explosive batsman Prithvi Shaw was trending on social media when a photo of him with his rumoured girlfriend Niddhi Tapadia went viral on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.
The picture was shared from Prithvi’s Instagram account. In the picture, Prithvi can be seen having a cozy moment with Tapadia.
Subsequently, the post was deleted from the platform. However, fans of the flamboyant batsman had already taken its screenshots.
In the Instagram story, the picture was captioned as, “Happy valentines my wifey” along with a heart and kiss emoji.
Shaw is very active on Instagram. However, he has never posted a picture of himself with a girl before. Hence, the post on the occasion of Valentine’s Day surprised his fans and followers.
However, when the picture started making headlines, Shaw took to Instagram to clarify. He called the photos fake and dispelled the marriage rumour.
He shared a story by writing “Someone editing my pics and showing stuffs that I haven’t put on my story or on my page. So please ignore all the tags and msges thx.”
Notably, Prithvi has not played an international game for the Men in Blue since July 2021. He was selected in the Indian squad for the T20I series against New Zealand last month after a gap of more than 18 months. However, he failed to get a place in the playing XI.
