Preity Zinta’s Punjab Kings is doing wonders in this IPL season, thanks to star batsmen like Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma. Led by Shikhar Dhawan, the franchise has played well in the last few games.

However, the team continues to struggle at the points table, currently at number 8 on the 10-team standings. Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the game owing to an injury with Sam Curran taking over as the skipper of the team.

Regardless, Preity Zinta believes that her team is in need of a captain like Rohit Sharma. The 90s queen believes that only the Mumbai Indians legend can bring ‘stability and a champion mindset’ among her players.

Preity has revealed that she would bet her life for the Hitman if he is ever available at IPL 2025 mega auction.

“I will bet my life to get Rohit Sharma if he comes in mega auction. We are only missing a captain in our team who brings on some stability and champion mindset,” Preity Zinta said while speaking to Star Sports.

On the other hand, speculations are rife about Rohit Sharma joining Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as rumours are making rounds that the MI legend has expressed his willingness of parting ways from Mumbai Indians. The cricket legend has been the fans’ favourite as he has helped MI win five coveted IPL trophies.

He is the current favourite of everyone, especially after he was replaced by Hardik Pandya as the captain of MI.
