India’s heartbreaking loss to the Aussies in the recently-concluded World Cup 2023 Final has left the entire nation disheartened including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The unexpected loss despite 10 consecutive back-to-back wins has come as a bad curse for every cricket lover.
To uplift the spirit of Team India, PM Modi who was present at the world’s largest cricket stadium, paid a visit to all the players and cheered them up. The special visitor rebuilt the confidence of the players and uplifted their spirit for the upcoming games.
A video is going viral that shows PM Modi entering the Indian dressing room and consoling the Men in Blue. PM Modi first chatted with India’s run machine Virat Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma and advised them to be strong and not be sad about not winning the World Cup given the excellent runs they had in the tournament.
ANI shared the video and wrote, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Team India in their dressing room after the ICC World Cup Finals at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 19th November. The PM spoke to the players and encouraged them for their performance throughout the tournament.”
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Home Minister Amit Shah who also shakes hands with all the players and India coach Rahul Dravid.
“Aap log pura 10-10 game jeet kea aye ho, yeh toh hota rehta hai (You have come to the final after winning 10 games, these things happen),” the PM can be heard saying to the players.
Worth mentioning, the devastating loss in the World Cup has resulted in fans getting heartbroken with at least two reports of suicides coming from Odisha and Jajpur. A video also has gone viral that shows a cricket lover smashing his TV after the loss.
