PBKS fans go wild, throw punches at each other after Preity Zinta throws t-shirt
A moment meant to delight fans turned chaotic at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium in Mohali, when Bollywood actress and Punjab Kings (PBKS) co-owner Preity Zinta tossed a team T-shirt into the crowd during an IPL match, sparking an unexpected scuffle among enthusiastic supporters.
The incident occurred during a timeout break in the second innings when Zinta, in her trademark cheerful style, interacted with the crowd near the boundary. As the cameras zoomed in, she waved at fans and tossed a signed PBKS T-shirt into the stands. What began as a fun gesture quickly turned frenzied as multiple fans lunged for the shirt, leading to a physical altercation.

Videos captured by bystanders showed two groups of fans pulling at the shirt from opposite sides, shouting and pushing. Security personnel rushed in to break up the fight, and at least one fan was seen escorted out of the stands. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, though a few minor bruises were noted.
Witnesses described the situation as “unfortunate but avoidable,” calling for better crowd management during such high-energy moments. Some fans expressed disappointment on social media, emphasizing that the IPL should be about enjoyment and team spirit, not aggressive competition off the field.
Preity Zinta, visibly unaware of the scuffle at the time, later posted a cheerful photo from the game, thanking fans for their support. Neither she nor the PBKS management has commented on the incident as of now.
