The Current ICC Cricketer of the Year Pat Cummins hailed the star duo of Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja for their consistency in cricket in all three formats. He also described playing along those two superstars of Indian cricket as a special experience. 

Pat Cummins had a sensational 2023 by leading Australia to the ICC World Test Championship Title, and ODI Cricket World Cup by beating India twice in the finals and retaining the Ashes Vs England. 

Speaking to ICC, Cummings heaped praised on Kohli and Jadeja. 

"Kohli and Jadeja are super consistent, you can't keep them out of it, they find a way to drag their team out of trouble and win it, to be alongside those guys has been really special,” Cummins said.

Reflecting on the successful year for Australian cricket, here’s what the right-arm fast bowler said:

"It's a huge honour. It has been a big year, lots of wonderful team success. To get this individual honour is huge and I am pretty amazed. In terms of individual accolades, it is right up there," he further said.

After a lean patch with the bat from 2019 to 2022, Virat Kohli made a resounding comeback in 2023 by scoring 765 runs with an outstanding average of over 90 during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. 

The former Indian captain was awarded ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year for his consistent performance in white ball cricket. 

On the other hand, Jadeja was named in the ICC Test Team of the Year for scoring 281 runs and taking 33 wickets in the longer format.
