Multan Sultans (MS) took on Islamabad United in the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 at the National Stadium in Karachi on Monday.

Batting first, MS were struggling at one point of time having lost nine wickets for just 127 runs in 17 overs. However, they managed to put up a respectable total of 159 runs eventually.

Pakistan international player Imad Wasim rose to the occasion for Islamabad United as he captured five wickets for giving away 23 runs in his quota of four overs.

However, the all-rounder got involved in a controversy during the innings break as he was caught smoking a cigarette inside the dressing room. The video of the incident has gone viral over various social media platforms.

The controversial act brought some interesting reactions from fans across the globe as they witnessed a professional cricketer smoking live on camera.

“Bro thinks he’s looking cool but getting 5 wickets haul doesn’t mean you can do whatever u want  i mean smoking straight in live psl match WTH man !???” wrote a fan on social media account X (earlier known as Twitter).

“Is Imad Wasim smoking, is this allowed in the Dressing Room, an ongoing match? What is going on?” another user tweeted.

In response to the video clip, a third user commented, “Imad Wasim Smoking during the match. Anything can happen in Number 1 league.”
