Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi brutally trolled after Finn Allen smashes two 6s, three 4s; Babar Azam drops easy catch

Pakistan cricket fans were left disappointed once again after Shaheen Afridi was smashed for 24 runs with two 6s and three boundaries in an over by New Zealand’s Finn Allen in the first T20I encounter in Auckland.

The bizarre delivery of Shaheen has caused mayhem on social media with cricket lovers roasting him. Fans cannot accept the fact that the new captain of Pakistan, touted to be the best bowler was smashed for two 6s and three boundaries in an over. 

“Captaincy will not be an easy task for Shaheen Afridi. There are question marks over his own performances and it is a difficult decision to be captain at this stage replacing Babar. Having a star tag with Shaheen is an added burden. #NZvPAK,” a fan commented.

Another fan wrote, “Whenever you feel useless, just watch Shaheen Afridi bowling.”

“Shaheen Afridi goes for 24 runs,  his most expensive over in T20 cricket, the format in which he has played 164 matches,” trolled another fan.

To make things worse for the team, Babar Azam missed an extremely easy catch during the T20I encounter. Kane Williamson miscued a shot off the bowling of Abbas Afridi and the ball went straight towards Babar at mid-on.

However, Babar misjudged the easy catch and ended up wasting a chance. As expected, social media users brutally trolled him for the missed opportunity.

Worth mentioning, Pakistan won the toss and their new captain Shaheen Afridi asked New Zealand to bat first.
