Wasim Akram’s bizarre statue in Hyderabad triggers meme fest
Former Pakistan speedster Wasim Akram is known as one of the greats of the game. The legendary cricketer was recently honoured with a life-size statue at Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad, Pakistan.
However, the final outcome of the life-size statue of Akram left many cricket lovers baffled due to its bizarre appearance. Though the statue was unveiled in April 2025, it went viral on social media recently for its unusual appearance.
The statute showed Akram doing his legendary bowling action and sported Pakistan's 1992 World Cup jersey. However, the face of the statue had some resemblance with famous Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone and the fans showed no mercy.
In response, a fan took to social media account X (earlier known as Twitter) to write, "Wasim Akram as modelled by Sylvester Stallone."
