The world is well aware of the arch rivalry between India and Pakistan. Apart from bitter diplomatic relationships and conflict, the two nations are intense sporting rivals as well. In all sporting events, the matches between India and Pakistan turn quite intense.

The India-Pakistan rivalry has created countless unforgettable moments and matches. Above all games, Cricket holds great importance.

Amid the ongoing matches between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023, the enthusiasm among cricket enthusiasts remains quite high. However, an old video of Pakistan’s right-handed fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has left many shocked.

Shoaib Akhtar earned the nickname of Rawalpindi Express for having delivered the fastest bowl in the history of cricket. His faceoff with Sachin Tendulkar on the field was worth watching.

In the old video, Akhtar can be seen revealing a shocking anecdote from the past.

Recalling the incident, the former cricketer said, “Actually, I wanted to hit Sachin at that time during a test match. At any cost, I must injure Sachin in this match.”

“I bowled a bouncer to hit Sachin’s head and the ball hit him on his head. It seemed he was going to die. I felt he wouldn’t survive. When I saw back, he had saved his head. I again hit his head in the next ball. I was determined to injure him,” he added.

The shocking incident took place during a Test match between India and Pakistan in 2006 in Karachi. However, Sachin luckily didn’t get hurt in Akhtar’s attack.

The old video has once again surfaced on social media and going viral as cricket enthusiasts celebrate the faceoff between the arch rivals.
