Lower-ranked Zimbabwe stunned Pakistan by clinching a thriller in the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia on Thursday. The shocking defeat has left the Men in Green on the verge of elimination.

While Zimbabwe players are hailed for their fighting victory, it is former pacer Pommie Mbangwa’s improvised commentary that is winning hearts online. Since the match last night, the commentary for the last ball has gone viral over various social media platforms.

While Zimbabwean players showcased excellent cricketing skills, the former aggressive pacer put on display a ‘heart-stopping’ oratory that reflected the emotions of not only players but also Zimbabwe supporters and cricket buffs across the globe. Notably, defending a modest total of 131, Zimbabwe punched above their weight. The minnows stifled the Pakistani batters and picked up wickets at regular intervals to restrict their fancied rivals at 129 for eight. Sikandar Raza (3/25) was the wrecker-in chief for the winning team.
