It just seems like yesterday that the Young Indian Team under the leadership of Sourav Ganguly defied the odds to win the NatWest Trophy Final by beating England in 2002.

From Ganguly's captaincy to Rahul Dravid's composure and the heroics of Yuvraj Singh, Mohammad Kaif and Harbhajan Singh, this Iconic victory at the Mecca of cricket, the Lords marked a significant milestone in Indian Cricket.

On This Day in 2002, India registered a 2-wicket victory against England at Lords Cricket Ground by chasing a huge score of 326 runs.

Indian Openers Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag provided a perfect start by stitching a partnership of 102 runs for the first wicket.
Soon after, India suffered a mini collapse as they went to lose 4 wickets and were reduced to 146-5.

Young guns- Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif began a rescue act for India and swung the pendulum in India’s favour. The duo stitched 121 runs. Yuvraj Singh scored 69 and Kaif remained not out on 87.
