Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli hug it out
After Virat Kohli gave his nod to be part of India’s ODI tour to Sri Lanka, it would be his first time to play under Gautam Gambhir who has joined as the head coach of the Indian cricket team. This has led to several speculations and curiosity among critics and cricket lovers as the two veteran players have had numerous on-field tussles with each other.
It is a known fact that Virat Kohli who plays for RCB had several on-field fights with the former India opener. Now with Gautam Gambhir replacing Rahul Dravid as the India head coach, Virat Kohli has to play under him.
This has left many wondering what the situation will be if the two engage in some disputes on the field once again. However, a report in Cricbuzz has confirmed that Kohli has assured the BCCI that his differences aren’t more important than the team’s win and his national duty.
If Cricbuzz reports are to be believed, Kohli has assured that his fight with Gambhir in the past aren’t going to impact their relationship within the Indian team. With the two working towards a common goal – the benefit of the Indian team – there isn’t much that the board needs to be afraid of.
Both Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir are aggressive as players and wear their hearts on their sleeves. The two have had some fiery clashes on the field. However, the last few IPL matches seemed well between Virat and Gambhir.
