After making an emotional comeback to formal cricket last year, Kerala speedster S.Sreesanth is now exploring all avenues- be it movies or politics.

Sreesanth arrived in Bhubaneswar on Friday and is scheduled to attend Bhubaneswar Premier League Cricket as the chief guest.

Sreesanth, who went unsold during the auctions for the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), had announced retirement from all forms of cricket last month. The veteran pacer’s journey was no less than a roller-coaster ride.

Known for his aggression on field, Sreesanth believes that there is no shortcut to success. One needs to remain focused and work hard to achieve the impossible. When asked about the Indian pace attack, Sreesanth said that a lot has changed in the past 10 years.

“Now it doesn’t matter from where you come, be it any remote area or a metro city. Even when MS Dhoni and I were playing, it showed that only performance is the key,” said Sreesanth.

Sreesanth further said nowadays youngsters are getting a lot of opportunities. Apart from this, a lot of local cricket tournaments are being held across the country.

“If anyone performs, they can certainly make it to their respective State cricket teams,” said Sreesanth. When asked about his favourite team in IPL, Sreesanth said that he is a big fan of the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.

“Whoever wins the IPL, it will be good for the cricket. But it will be nice if anyone of the new teams in this edition lift the cup,” Sreesanth added.
