Himani Mor, wife of Javelin star Neeraj Chopra
Star Javelin thrower and two-time Olympics medalist Neeraj Chopra took the whole world by surprise after he secretly got married. The news came only after the gold medalist made the official announced on his Instagram account.
“Starting new chapter of life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after,” Neeraj shared on his Instagram handle.
The secret wedding, in the presence of family members and close friends, took place in Himachal Pradesh. However, many of us are still wondering who the girl is who won the heart of the India’s sports legend!
Who is Neeraj Chopra’s wife Himani Mor?
For the unversed, Himani Mor is 25 years old and is an accomplished tennis player. She hails from Sonipat and did her schooling at Little Angels School in Sonipat.
Daughter of Chand Ram, Mor is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Sports Management (Major) at the Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire.
She is an alumni of Delhi’s Miranda House where she completed her Bachelors degree in Political Science and Physical Education. She participated at the 2017 World University Games in Taipei after completing the national level for Delhi University. She has a brother Himanshu who is also a tennis player.
She has also won a gold medal in the World Junior Tennis Championship held in Malaysia in 2016. According to All India Tennis Association (AITA), Himani’s career best national ranking was 42 in singles and 27 in doubles in 2018.
She started playing in 2018 only in AITA events. Amherst College in Massachusetts also lists her as an assistant coach of women’s tennis.
